Thunder Cloud Studios have come out with a neat solution for grooming hair on characters which they have released as a mel script for purchase called GMH2. This script allows you to create Maya hair presets and then drive those hair curves with polygon planes. It also leaves you a great base for animators to view on a proxy animation rig. Been testing it on a few characters that I’ve been working on and it seems pretty robust. I’ll try to post some work in progress images in the next few days but until then check it out for yourselves. Great Value for 39 dollars!
